Title: yellow WCW backpack probs
Post by: wightsurf on September 27, 2010, 09:14:23 pm
It runs but makes a bit of a racket and it just cuts out when it feels like it.
Could this be the pump cutting out due to pressure switch ?
When it cuts out i turn it off/on and then it works fine until it cuts out again.
It's not to much of a problem at the mo, but i need to sort this out before it packs in all together.
Ideas anyone ?

No kink but there is a control tap. But i have never had this problem before using the control tap as i have a bypass that flows back into the backpack so it's not using the pressure switch.
Can i buy new pumps for this backpack do you know ?

sometimes spade connectors on battery work loose.

can get air locks in pump, need to disconnect  hoses to pump.

as said check for kinks inside base.

I undid base and removed all plastic black pipes and put on 8mm microbore hose from yellow body to  pump and out of base.

I wish you could get a 12 volt battery that uses eyelet connectors so you can screw down connectors; as spade connectors fall off  :o

hope you sort out mate ;)

I've had problems with my yellow one yesterday. Loose spade connectors, blown fuse, pump hose to tank came off (it's too short for when/if you have to change the battery).

If fuse blows take out and push brass fuse u shapes together, clip one inside of other to complete the connections (sorry if you already knew this/s obvious)

this will get working again, but don't leave like this when connect to mains to charge.

DON'T WANT TO SET YOU ON FIRE :o

tom2009.

change all internal hoses to microbore hose.

you can buy small lenghts from varitech.

If you wanted you could put male/female microbore connectors inside between body and base pump.

Female connector on body, otherwise any dregs of water will pi55 out ;D
