Title: Squeegee
Post by: rg1 on September 23, 2010, 08:13:19 pm
I've been using a Unger 12" squeegee for several months now and was wondering if there is a better one to use or a replacement rubber that's better than the one that comes with it?

I have an unger s 14inch handle and channel. I have had it for about 15 yrs and it still works. I have from time to time changed the rubber bit, I used to change it weekly, flipping it over on a wednesday afternoon. I now use wfp so one rubber can last for several months. I have always used cheap pulex rubbers and never had a problem with them or unger. Don't knock unger they make good quality tools that last.

i use the unger ergotech squeegees(14-18in)and ive also got a swivelock.very good professional trad equipment IMO.

I must admit though they dont get used much these days!maybe a few times a day on ground floor windows although ill probably use em more in winter due to water issues in the cold.

You have to have lots of options ready and prepared ay m8!

it kept me ticking over!ive had years of practice!most window cleaners would make a mess of them if they ve had no experience of them before! ;) ;D

Ettore.

Please don't use the U-word. There's supposed to be no bad language.

I wondered when Squeaky would mention his Ettore fetish!  ;D

I use Unger. Never had a problem. Broken some Ettore stuff though!  ;D

It's delicate engineering. Can't just go at it like a yob! ;D
