Title: clx maintanance
Post by: MNWC on September 22, 2010, 04:27:43 pm
Ive noticed my clx seems a bit "scratchy" when i pull out push in the first section from the bottom.

Ive rinsed with water down the middle of the pole and that seems a bit better.

Is there anything else i can do ??

To remove a section from any of our telescopic pole ranges that have positive stop joints, follow the steps below:

1. Undo and remove lever arm sets
2. Lever apart the clamp arms (allen key/screwdriver/small wedge)
3. With clamp arms open, carefully slide joint stop out from the clamp twisting the section as you do so to help ease the section out

To re-assemble - reverse the steps above.

Most cleaning and maintenance will not need sections removing.  The following is what we recommend for cleaning the pole out:

1. Open all clamps and extend each section by about a foot
2. Lay back of brush head on the ground
3. Direct a jet of water up the base of the pole and allow to flush for a minute
4. Lay pole on floor, pick up brush head and put pole upright to allow excess water to flush back down the pole

We would recommend doing this once a week or whenever having used the pole in gritty/sandy conditions.  Combine this with keeping the pole hose clean as most of the dirt that gets into the pole mechanism is carried up from the pole hose.  A simple wipe down of the hose as you put the pole  away after each job is usually sufficient.

mine also come straight out if im not careful when extending the pole!i think it would be better if the ends of the pole were a different colour(like on my hydra)so you know when to stop extending!

great light pole though!i flush mine as has been suggested about once a week and clean the hose every now and then.

ill be happy if it lasts 12 months! ;) ;D ;D ;D
