I use the omnipole guttervac which also has aluminium tubing. I have used it at over 30' with no problems.

Hi Dan, take a look at the Polar Brite site {polar vac} i think they have the same diameter tubing but it's a continuous flexi plastic. Much lighter and no messing around www.polarbrite.co.uk

we had the same problem with the Vac tube. We now attatch the camera to a pole. much lighter and easier to manouvre. The only thing that concerned me at first with this method was the trailing cable may get snagged, however we always have two people working together so one can watch the cable and it hasnt been a problem.

hi dan
i'm new to this forum and this is my first post, but please don't laugh
i ( being skint all the time ) made up my own gutter vac system for around £150.00 all in.
it doesn't look very pretty but works a treat
the tubing i used is 51mm downpipe from b&q it's about £5.00 per 2 metre length and slots together, i also use the angle connecters to make it drop over the gutter.
you can add more lengths for additional heights but is a bit flexible the more you add, howver cos it's only plastic you can drop it into gutter to move along and not worry about wieght.
to stop the tubes spinning around i just put a bit of black duck tape aound the joins,
simples but not pretty

Hi
i have been considering building a gutter vac system, they seem to start at around 1200 at omnipole. What is the minimum power you can use to pull moss and leaves? most seem to be around 2400 twin motor.
does any one know a cheap source for a vac this powerful.
I would then use 10 meter lengh of henry hose and an old wfp. just need the angle head and tools for the top might use the polar ones ?
cheers
