Title: Quick question David@St Ives
Post by: Davindo Cleana on September 17, 2005, 06:57:14 pm
Hi David - I have a slight leak at the Shurflo connection an am using the male connectors that Williamsons supplied - i.e. hose is tied with tags
I noticed you have used Hozelocks - any problems at all with leaks - did you thread tape everything and what is the green connection on one side - looks unusual
Cheers,  Red

on the branded hoselock connections there are no leaks, maybe the slightest of seepage on one but nothing which will wet the car
the green connecter is a cheapo from lidls which does leak and will be replaced

and no tape or sealant at all. mine did not come wth any connecters at all

Thanks - I think I saw the Williamsons connectors in the photo on their website when I went to order the pump, and paid a few quid extra, but I would much prefer the quick release Hozelock

Don't know if you did it by choice but just in case not, your pump is upside down  - Williamsons say pipes to bottom in case of leak which could pour into pump electrics if other way round
