Title: alltec
Post by: clarkson on September 15, 2010, 10:36:59 pm

  Hi All
I have been looking at our cc set up. we have texatherm and a rugdoctor for small splills or tight areas.

We also have an alltec wet extract, dont even know the model. Its old, a big white cube. has two vacs two pumps. its getting on a bit, one wheel is buckled almost falling off. the drain leaks even when shut and the lid on the dirty water is loose.

wondering whether to upgrade or get the jobs done on it. pumps all work fine on it, but we do find it a beast to transport and set up. we could do with something a bit smaller.

Any suggestions on makes models so on. or where i could get it overhauled.

cheers

john

Call Alltec and have a chat to Chris. I have seen a few machines in their workshop that looked older than God's Dog!

Unless you are looking to buy a new machine I would second what Ian has said, over the years the real thing that has changed from olden days is vac power but I would have a quote for repair first.

Sounds like an old twin vac you have mate, the wheels do buckle as the machine has an undertray in the base and the wheels are attatched to the undertray, maybe worth getting it done up mind you..

You can get the machine done at other dealers really too..

I was going to mention you earlier in this thread but you beat me to it :)

Trevor is actually recommended by Alltec for the Midlands area. I can certainly recommend his services as he saved me a very long trip last year.

    Hi
Chris never rang me back, must be very busy and loaded to miss out on complete refurbishment?

Anyway anyone got the number for or email for Trevor.

Had the machine out today to check over, its only one pump not 2 but its working both vacs working, heater unit and thermastat working. just leaks and a wheel. plus an hour with the pressure washer and some car wax. will be fine for our needs.

    thanks guys.
