Undecided.Used the booster with the scorpion and carpet was dry very quickly.Used the booster with the eclipse carpet was dry very very quickly.More testing would be needed to be done on different types of carpets before making my mind up.The booster is an excellent piece of kit which can be used with any portable and that does work.

Ian,

No I didn't .

I've tried playing around with my firewall settings but no luck there.

Steve,

Thanks,

I like the idea of being able to add extra power as required.

From your original post I think you've implied that the Eclipse is a little more powerful than the Scorpion.

Could you rate both with booster on a scale of 1 to 10 and include the Blazer as well.

Cheers,

Doug

Doug we had a 15-30 minute playabout with the Scorpion,Eclipse & booster on a couple of carpet tiles so its difficult to rate them obviously I'm going to say the eclipse is more powerful I've got one ::).As I said in an earlier post more testing needs to be done on different types of carpet and different portables to give a true rating of the booster.

Steve,

I know my question was a little ambitous but thanks for trying to answer .

Does anyone know what the booster spec is.

Is it American or Btitish?

Cheers,

Doug

this does sound a little thick, but got to ask
hows the booster actually work.
wheres the recovery water go in the booster or your machine tank

darren
Title: Re: Solution open day
Post by: stevegunn on September 19, 2005, 06:48:59 pm
it goes to the tank in your machine
Title: Re: Solution open day
Post by: dave401uk on September 19, 2005, 08:10:48 pm
th booster fits in the vac hose line, so hwe machine then hose to the booster box, then from the booster to the wand, the waste water goes in the booster and then straight to the waste tank in the hwe machine,

And it must be the must have for all porty owners,
it is fantastic works so well, and drying times are great

I think it is where you lift the back of the lip of the wand slightly above the carpet and take quick back strokes, I can remember Noel Frank showing me on a IICRC course a few years ago.
