Title: Gate unlocking gadgets
Post by: brianbarber on September 11, 2010, 02:13:16 pm: Hi guys, can anyone recommend a home made device to help unlocking the bolts that sometimes are locked at the bottom of back gates!
Any pics would be appreciated

Post by: Perfect Windows on September 11, 2010, 02:23:41 pm: I've bought a bundle of these http://www.screwfix.com/prods/35118/Ironmongery/Bolts-Catches/Door-Bolts/Straight-Bolts/Straight-Bolt-51mm-Polished-Brass which I fit to the top of the gate and ask them to use that instead of the lower bolt when I'm coming (they get a text the night before).

If you sharpen the inside of the hole, it should be good to go.
