Be aware and I have just discovered that my bank account is £1,000 short thanks to this lot.
Their 3rd party associates have been taking £15.95 per month twice for the last 3 years.
Look on your bank accounts for the following names:
Clubprem.com and Vprewards.com
Do a google search for vistaprint scams if you don't believe me.
-
You have not checked you bank statements for three years? :o :o :o
-
Sneak thieves, scum of the earth.....
I probably wouldn't notice £15 going missing a month TBH.... I'm off to check my D/D's and S/O's... :-\

Hi there
Surely you do a bank rec for your accounts, at least at the end of year, but i expect most people do it at least quarterly if not monthly.
if you have dd and so that go out of your account, for insurance etc, you may not have an invoice for that amount and therefore you take those figures from your bank statements, to build an accurate profit and loss account.
i am perplexed that someone may not notice, or may not even do a bank rec.
just my opinion.
regards
martin

These amounts were taken out of a personal account which was used years ago for minor on line purchases like these cards, because we were keen on the idea of using our business account which if hacked in could result in the instant loss of £1000's.
Yeh the irony of it
-
So your missing £32 a month for 3 years from a personal account
that's not been used for years but has £1000 in it??

Check out Martin Lewis' moneysavingexpert site. There's a huge thread on there been going years.
You will read how to get your money back. I got about nine months back. Those who don't are the ones that give up. They will refuse at first, then a second time, even a third. Just keep annoying them. Work up to the main chap and stay calm throughought. I think they want you to lose your rag. When they realise you will not give up or go away they offer a 'deal' ::) Say, NO you want all your money back. Spend as much time on it as you think a grand is worth to you.
Good luck.

No >:(
It's a personal account that all the usall bills are paid from. So hidden amongst all the other DD's and SO's etc were these two.
Like anything else if we total up all those small weekly/monthly things like takeaways it comes to a lot of money, but just something you wouldn't really notice at the time.
Foolishly years ago I ordered some business cards through vistaprint from this personal account. So therefore it wouldn't show up on end of year accounts.

Thankyou Wayne
-
I wish i could afford to not notice £32.00 going out every month. :-\

I've used Vistaprint loads of times, but haven't noticed anything dodgy coming out of my account.
Just how widespread is this problem?
-
sorry lads but helen might not have looked as close as she should but she is trying to be normal and nice ,but some of your comments are so up your own bums well helen thank you.
-
thanks for the the warning helen

Agree with the last two posts..............some smart asses need to look at their own operations before making " smart " comments
-
The "Holier Than Thou" types only ever come on to post negative comments, they really aren't worth explaining yourself to Helen...
Thanks for the warning about Vista Print Helen, I know a new cleaner who is using them round our way, I'll pass your warning on to her :)
-
Had a look at my operations robert and it's running nicely.

I was getting more annoyed with this post, the stupid comments being written, some people don't deserve warnings about scams, lots of people including me have used vista print, so am gratefull to Helen for this

There will always be people who are happy and willing to help others just as there will always be people who seek to find fault, no matter how tiny or insignificant in other peoples lives.................sad really.
-
We noticed straight away fortunately and cancelled the DD and got a full refund this was approx 3 years ago and I believe after 3 or 4 months there was enough complaints that Vistaprint stopped using these scum bag techniques, if you can prove all of the out goings you may get all of your money back.

I'm probably naive & non streetwise but aren't Vistaprint just bog standard printers -
why would one set up a monthly direct debiting system with such a supplier. Surely you just order your printing requirements - they deliver - bill you - & you pay by cheque/bank transfer/ debit or credit card

It's not quite so straight forward as that. As such it's not a direct debit because for a direct debit you (customer) have to fill out the required forms.
This lot, once you inadvertantly forget the hit the box that says you don't want to be part of their marketing schemes, USE YOUR BANK DETAILS TO DRAW A MONTHLY PAYMENT FROM YOUR BANK. These bank details are the details you supply to Vistaprint to pay for your business cards.
So again it's not a DD as such just a means for them to take a regular amount out of a bank account.
BTW the capital letters were not shouting but just trying to make it clear to some how this scam works.
And finally incase no-one has put 2 and 2 together yet, Helen is my wife and has her own account on here, so I have made a mental note of the smart aleck replies from some, afterall we are just trying to warn what can happen with some of these on-line shops.
-
OK, Neil - I'm up to speed with the situation now :)
-
Just wait until they are offering free stuff, just got some cards done for about £4 that was for the P&P
-
When you order from Vista they have tick boxes at the bottom of your order, this order you had to remove the tick as apposed to adding one therefore already accepting additions, the question will have been something like "please remove tick if you do not want us to take £XX from your account for (can't remember the service they said they were supplying)" what you have to remember is that your account details are already in the system and Vista allowed them to do it.
We like Helen didn't read the small print as it was a re order and never thought to check it through, when we checked the business account then we contacted Vista and monies was refunded.

We had the same thing happen to us the first time we used vistaprint a couple of yrs ago.
its not a case of knowingly setting up a regular direct debit , the way the site is set up they have this tiny little box that is prechecked saying that you agree to sign up for club prem.
Unless you UNCHECK it, hey ho they have free reign to take money from your account every month as you tick to accept the terms and conditions without even noticing the other tiny little money maker that they have installed.
We foned them up and after a few choice words we had the money all refunded.
We have been using vista print on and off since for the free offers and stuff without a problem.
A prime example of 'reading the small print!'

Isn't small print boring but so important. ;D
-
Possible result :D
Just had an e-mail from vistaprint saying they've cancelled the 2 accounts and all monies will be paid back.
We'll wait and see but I do have it in writing so to speak.
