i think its a con as well, as how can they say something will reach a height, it all depends on how tall someone is and what angle you are working at
-
exactly cos if it was advertised as 28ft id of got a longer 1
-
they can be ad for that as it mis advertising also they are selling sumthing that is not fit for the purepose

If you wanted longer, you should tell them and they should sort it for you. If they don't, report them to Trading Standards. If something's sold as 31ft, it needs to be 31ft long. They would have a field day with a case like that.

becareful as the 31ft lenglth might be the combined lengths of all the poles when measured on there own not the erach, unless it says reach lenght and it should have a think about been taken from waist height
-
i'll get in touch with them & post the outcome thanks to all

brodex poles r rubbish anyway ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've looked at the Brodex website and they don't say anything about measuring the pole height from the waist. What a load of BS.
If I was buying a pole of off their site I would think like you did that a 31ft pole would indeed measure 31ft. And not 28,29 or 30ft.
I agree that this is misselling. >:(
Print off a copy of the Brodex webpage with the product and price, then get in touch with them and see what they say.
If they don't wanna oblige I believe you have a case for Trading Standards, but make sure you have the evidence first (just incase they change the information on the webpage)! ;)

all pole makers/sellers give the reach of the pole from waist height
