Title: urgent help - di only ....
Post by: Wc Solutions on September 08, 2010, 05:35:22 pm
have high tds and di only for now, long story.

tds is about 200 and have a 11ltr di canister, always used tulsion resin from daqua and went straight to 000tds within secs.

ran out of resin and daqua was out of stock, so i got it from purefreedom.

just filled canister as normal, plugged it in (making sure in & out were correct).

water coming out at around 40!!

any help guys???

one thing ive just noticed: the resin is normally all soggy and thick after use - just had a look in the canister and it seems to still be fairly dry still

check the riser is seated tightly into the cap sometimes the water can get through

check that it is going in and out the right way and that the neck inside is all the way in

just taken riser out and taken it apart - put it back together all is seems to be good again.

the only thing i didnt do that i normally do is add a little water to the resin to put the riser in - i just forced it down straight through the dry resin - is that what ive done wrong??? riser not in all the way??

if the riiser is in right it is a problem with the resin, that is the only thing it can be
