I have had one bottle now finished.
Worked on some but not on others.
-
Would agree, not convinced so will not buy again
-
Can anyone recommend a product that WILL get wine out?
-
Prochem Red RX is pretty good but again, not had 100%.
Depends on the pile and how long its been sat in the carpet to some extent I find.
-
Hydrogen Peroxide. Misted on to stain and dried with a hair dryer.
-
chemspec spray and go is very good or what JK said
-
I tried to get some Hydrogen Peroxide from the hair dresser but he said it was illegal to give it away as its what you make bombs with :o
-
citric acid get it from wine making shops

Matbe is stupid question, but is it true that white wine clean red wine stains ? :)
-
It will be ok if you have something to clean white wine with ;D

Yes but only on fresh stain, tried twice when we had guests and disapears by morning :o

wineaway is the single best non pro CC fluid you can get (for red wine) - it doesnt work quite as well on older / more expensive red wine stains but the average freshish £5 plonk on woollen carpets it is amazing IMO!!! Lakeland products sell it and it should be a well kept secret from the custies - it has "made me the hero" on many occasions!!!!
Theres no such thing as magic but sometimes this stuff comes close - compulsory to have a bottle on the van!

I agree, Wine away has been my best red wine remover with some superb results. I've tried Spray and Go and Hydrogen Peroxide but neither have had the same effect on the same stain that Wine Away went on to remove. On my third bottle soon. Spray and Go for coffe is good though.

You have to apply the heat with a hair dryer or else it does nothing.

Dont you guys use an alkline rinse, then use white viniger and then flush out again i find it takes most red wine stains out, if not then i use something stronger

Copious amounts of single malt whiskey (or a case of fosters from tescos) usually makes all of my red wine problems disappear :P
HA!

Hi Stu
Well impressed with you website by the way the prowler looks the part, makes my 3 vac 400 psi ninja looks like a pee shooter

True. You can only make the red wine spot pink or sth..
-
Stu you need to change your site to less than 30 ;) another 2 on the way and 2 on order.

thanks guys for the input. All of the info on the web including the youtube vids of it being tested , is on very fresh stains . i.e. they pour the wine on the carpet and immediately use WineAway, seems to be fairly successful in that instance. Will get some and test it myself and see.
Thanks again

I've removed very old wine stains from 100% wool rugs and carpets with browning treatment from chemspec. After of course i turned it purple with enzall ;D
Fresh stain on a polypropylene is one thing, old stain on a wool carpet is another....

Altecs Red Wine Remover is THE stuff.
It does what it says on the label, I think its a kind of peroxide tho it doesnt say that on the label, it smells like ladies hair dressers kind of bleachy.
Made me a hero time and time again, but you must rinse it out afterwards as it keeps on working and lightens the carpet. Use with care on Chinese rugs as it can take the dye out of the fibres.
Dont smell it, it stinks like a strong kind of ammonia, something like smelling salts used to.

Chemspec's coffee mate, half and half of hydrogen peroxide and ammonia. Excellent on wine and coffee stains. Also clears the old nostrils out.
