I dont recommend using anything over 000 using 10 your asking for problems, 10 is not pure water, get your water at 000 and keep it that way, then it is user error should there be a problem and at 10 you are multiplying that chance 10 fold to get a complaint.
defo get a second vessal and check tds more regular :P

cheers fella

001 then change the resin

001 then change the resin
swop the vessal, change resin when tds is same as ro out, twin di of cause ;D
-
DM has thrown out his di's and runs at 15 PPM ;)
i have never had a problem with any water upto 10 PPM after that you start running a risk (IMHO)
0 is the ultimate and should be what you are aiming for, but sometimes things don't go to plan and
this means running with slightly higher ppm.

Brodex website says anything over 002 is not fit for purpose. I've stuck by this and not had a problem ;D
-
dont worrie what brodex tell you all they want is cash, if a house has been cleaned many times with 000... / 010 will be fine ;D
-
They havn't told me this, it's in their FAQ section on their website. I don't think for one second they put in there to gain extra £££££s

i disagree with this i work with a tds of upto 30 with no problems at all. have been doing this for the last year. i am saving so much on resin. even recently withought realising it went to 51 and still no spots and no customers ringing or complaining. i think its all hype about having to be 000 or even 010 its the retailers just wanting to squeeze more and more money from us. try it yourself at 30 and you will see no probs.

maybe you have a low calcium count in your area, our tap tds is high, I have usede water at 11 tds and there were spots everywhere.

I made a booboo earlier in the year (it's a long story, but my RO filter packed up, and I hadn't checked my tds for a couple of weeks), and ended up using water with a tds of 190! How many complaints did I get? One, and I think that might have been ali frames running. I think if the windows are regularly cleaned it's less of a problem than you may think!

That'll be user error then Ian ;D

I've removed the hassle and cost of the DI Vessel.
Less joints to leak and less equipment.
My RO pumps out 003 - 005 and the windows are spotless.
I can't fault anybody for wanting 000 but to say that a higher level wouldn't clean is unfair.
-
i find that up t0 10ppm is fine after that i had probs
from my di vessel my water comes out of my ro at 5ppm
but i mainly harvest rainwater now straight into
a ibc tank at 3ppm ;D
-
i normally go upto 6-7 then def change it!
-
It doesn't have to always be 0 ppm, I have used 3 to 5ppm on a regular basis with no problems.
I did try using 15ppm water once and had patchy results with spotting.
I reckon up to about 8 to 10 ppm is probably ok, I might even try it one day just to experiment.
