Went to look at what i would describe as a faux suede sofa and two chairs, on the label it says "buffalo or easycare dryclean only"
I have cleaned these before and had good results using M Power i did a wet test on it and it was ok, the one doubt i have though is the customer said she had another guy look at it and he said.
"it cant be wet cleaned because inside the arm are layers of filling which are held together with an adhesive which will break up if it is cleaned using water"
The main cushions are filled with memory foam but not sure what the arms are filled with although they felt the same, i have booked the job and quoted £150 mainly because the access is tricky the flat is a complete tip when i looked behind the sofa a mountain of porno mags were behind it :o and the first thing i did when i got out was wash my hands it was very very grotty, but its good money.
I am wondering if the previous carpet cleaner just didn't want the job because of this and made this excuse, as it left me puzzled anyone heard of this problem before.
The other carpet cleaner is from what i can tell is no "cowboy" she also had another guy who had a truckmount who said a portable was needed so may be a member on here.

Hi James
Wasn't me !
This should be straightforward.
I wouldn't take any notice of the adhesive thing, it's a red herring.
Cheers

I suspected as much, thats why i booked it, but thought it advisable to check just in case surely water could not cause this anyway but thought how bad it would look if this did happen and she had warned me beforehand :-[
Thanks for your advice and quick response, i can rest a bit easier now.
