Hi Guys
I have a couple of cuys doing a small builders clean in a leisure centre. Some of the work is next to the swimming pool (and this includes rendering/plastering) and the floor tiles have brown stains on them. I am no expert but the tiles appear to be man made but these stains just won't shift. Can anyone shed any light on what the problem is and if it's fixable?
For what its worth my favourite explanation is that the tiles have been chemically burnt by some form of high acidity or alkalinity in the from the rendering but like I said I am no expert so would appreciate your opinions.

Without seeing cant comment I often get pictures what can you do! As for leisure centre bag of chips. Oh the Wife don’t even get the daily mail now :o

do you have any craftex rust remover? dab a little on a test area then dab a high pH solution ( ammonia) but i did some quarry tiles on a customer front step that had been badly stained with render although they washed it off is still left a bad stain. craftex rust remover was all i had on the van but it worked brilliantly ( although it was expensive)
any strong acid might do the same.
but I'm no tile expert, someone else might give better advice

Pete pictures would be good but heres a thought the tiles should be very resistant due to the high PH in sodium hypochlorite solution
CHLORINE BEING IN THE RANGE OF 11 TO 13 you should have no problems that side.
One thing i would try is Detol mould & mildew remover green bottle around £2.50 from all the supermarkets spray on and let it dwell for 20 mins see if you get any transfer onto a towel.
