Guys there so much stuff going on about mobiles and apps
I just feel that the following might make it a bit clearer.
Apps - do you want you data on a mobile?
I am by no beings trying to sell Midas, but I hope this helps knowledge wise, you cant just have an Apps it wont work for every phone. It will take for ever.
As all mobile use different operating systems, it would be near impossible to create an app that would work on all blackberry's, iphone's, symbian's, android's, palm's and on windows mobile phone's. The easiest solution was to use something that all the devices have in common, which is the web browser. All modern full screen mobiles have access to the internet by using the browser. Nowadays most mobiles are sold on the idea of giving you access to your facebook or twitter accounts.
