I have a friend of mine who was an engineer by trade. his work dried up 12-18 months ago so he bought a set up and had a small round to keep him earning. he has now got a job so he wants to sell this set up but he doesn't know what its worth.
What do you think?
Ford Transit Connect 53 Plate 73k. Brilliant condition. no dents and only minor marks
500 litre purefreedom 4040 full auto cutoff system (cost him £2400 12 ish months ago)
2 reels. 2 pumps, brand new 18ft brodex hydra, brand new 31ft brodex hydra.
25 ft xtel glass fibre
ladders, roof racks, various other hand tools
He is looking for an idea on price so thought this would be a good place to start
Any prices people?
Thanks

cheers mate. anyone else want thier input on what they would pay??
:D

Anywhere between £4k and £5k given the condition and low mileage.

I would have said 3/4k without looking at what the motor is worth on its own.

The van is worth close to 4K on its own, then theres the kit inside, £4,250 in total I'd say.

Ive just sent you a message via your company website. Thanks

Id say nearer 5 on ebay.

Thanks for the mail Steve but i know he won't sell it for that straight off. he will want nearer 5k to sway him not advertising the van

Personally I do not think wfp systems add to the value of a van. Some people would be put off knowing the van had been carrying 1/2 ton load regularly and the risk of water sitting on the floor could accelerate rust problems.
Sounds like a good van though with a neat system so this case could be an exception.
