Title: carpet drying stains
Post by: hso on August 31, 2010, 07:09:32 pm: We have been asked to re - clean a carpet that was cleaned by a local company and the client tells me the carpet is patchy and stained from drying stains as it was left too wet.

What prochem product would you suggest will remove these marks ? or will they be removed with hot extraction and air blowers ??

I have never come across trying to remove drying stains before > :o ???

You will need to visit this job and inspect the carpet, to see what damage has been done. There could be a number of reasons why it has dried patchy, including jute dye migration, which depending on fibre type may not be easy to remedy.

All I have been told is that the last people used a rotawash machine and could not air it ......A thin corded carpet, no underlay on concrete. and thats the best info I got...they just want the job done....Tennants moving in...No time to look first...the usual stuff you hear from landlords..

Post by: John Kelly on August 31, 2010, 08:32:54 pm: Can't believe people still use these things for carpet cleaning. They soak it. Its probaly just where the dirt hasn't been removed and has wicked back to the surface as its dried. Just clean it as normal or bonnet it as Jason says.

just a bit of advice. if this post is not meant to be spam then imo you should add something useful to the conversation as just saying True could mean anything, and also makes you look like you're only here to get links to your site (which may not be the case but that's how it appears)
