Hey guys
I have just had my very first go with my backpack wfp setup, I'm not to happy with the results as when the water dried on the windows it left a few white runs marks.
Mt TDS is 0 so I know my water is ok, is it likely that dirt has run off the frames and I need to swill the windows off better?
I tried my setup on my own house with leaded windows, do they also cause more problems for wfp.

did you realy scrub the frames? do them first then rinse them then go on to next window do the same and then go back to first window and clean glass this gives the frame enough time to stop running onto glass, you may have to do this a few times, i always clean a 1st clean house twice.

Spots are from dirty water, if the water was pure when it went on the dirt has probably run down from dirty frames or not been rinsed off probably

Keep trying, you will get the hang of it, we all did.

i would not corncern yourself about water useage or time for a few weeks, turn the water up high and give the frames a dam fine scrub, go around the frame esp the top then scrub the glass and then return to the top edge of the
glass and rinse.
you can lower the water flow and speed up later once you have a technique that works and suits you.
there are lots of variables - pencil/fan jets flocked/unflocked brush mono/dual trim - different makers then the countless styles of windows and materials - lots of which require micro adjustment on how to clean them.

All valid points raised! and have they got vents on top of them? if so youll get loads of muck coming down the glass

Think of it as washing a dirty car,
Scubbing the car with a sponge to loosen all the dirt - Scrub the glass and ALL the frames
And rinse really well in both cases.

yes mate bought some good stuff from Polar vac whatever their called lol.

I've found that even with plenty of scrubbing and rinsing you still get the occasional white dots in the top corners of windows.Nothing I can seem to do about it,but some styles of windows seem more prone than others.Never had in complaints about it though.
