any one working on this bank holiday then i am trying to get the energy to go out for a few hours

No not me, mind you after a day spent with my family I will probably wish I had.

im not working dont work bank hols im taking the wife and kids off to whitby for the day

Seem this is the last bank holiday of the year until christmas i tend to have this day off. But I wont be resting. Take kids back to there mums and hang a folding door for my dear old mum.

Day off for me, well i say day off keeping the kids occupied! :D

might even be warm enough to swim in the sea (suffolk coast)_ ive swam/lazed a lot in the sea this year,after my work ,its my first year of a full trad round and its been "a beasting " ,luckily my bodys survived it !

im off out to the local late summer show this afternoon.im gonna fill up this morning for tomorrow and clean my van then chill out until the morning!!

got back home at 10.00am out from 5.00am doing shop fronts me finshed for the day ;D ;D ;D

just worked 9 till now and back of out to do 1 till 4pm ;) had a great morning loads are in and been paid for 90% of the work

yeah went out for a little while the custy's said oh you work bank holidays then i said im afraid so i am to stupid to work in bank so i dont get those day's off they seemed to think i was being serious

Having just had to pop down there to get some car shampoo I would say everybody else in the world is heading to homebase today.

Yeah I just got in.I wouldn't have done if I wasn't behind due to the lousy weather last week.Nice to drive to work on Monday morning at 8 and have no traffic on the road I must admit.

done to many years working weekends and bank hols i dont do any now if i cant earn enough between mon and fri then there is some thing wrong just my way of thinking thats all

Genuine advice Daz. Don't fall into the same trap I did. You might be faster, but laying in the sun won't build your round. You will be making less money if you just get through your work quick and then chill out, been there, done that. Now is the time to increase your round size, specifically go after wfp suited work in your area.
I worked today trying to catch up, but its a great day for canvassing.

You will be making less money if you just get through your work quick and then chill out, been there, done that. I like that advice Nigel, sleep and rest when ya die !!! Not my prefered method of working but good on ya !! ;D

hey nigel im already making more money as i clean a lot more windows on my existing round(skylights/2nd floor/above connys) and more add ons(fascia/conny roof cleans)and im still quicker than trad!also ive been slowly picking up better paying jobs!
i have 340 custies and a varied round.i also work in wet weather longer and im keeping my round up to date most of the time! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
i never work bank holidays anymore as i value the time spent with family and friends more on these days!!
i often work a saturday to catch up if ive had a bad week weather wise.obviously i will be actively going after more wfp suited work over time. ;) ;D ;D
