Title: Shift
Post by: Dave Whittaker on August 27, 2010, 07:19:17 pm
Does anybody use this powder called Shift? Sod Met powder for tea & coffee stains etc.

Was using the liquid tea & coffee stain remover but have stopped using it due to the stink.
Just wondered if the powder form reeks aswell?

Thanks Guys.

Been using Browning Prescription of late for tea/coffee stains with some success. Still learning though.

Has anybody tried HelpMate from Restormate?? I've been eyeing it up but the word "kit" puts me off......sounds like a faff???

When I had a chip shop we used to add a teaspoon of sodium met bisulphite to our freshly cut raw chips in water, then we would rinse them, let them dry before cooking and the chips would cook white dry without absorbing fat, it stinks to high heaven and you could even taste the sulphur while you use it, I wouldn’t recommend it as it is very pungent and there are plenty of a lot safer and friendly cleaning solutions already available.

Shift and spray and go are perfectly safe to use providing you know what you are doing. Most of the effective liquid coffee stain removers are the same stuff in liquid form. Beauty of the powders is you can make any strength you like.
