wcw or sureflow?
both have speed contollers and hold the same water.
around the same price aswell
-
neither go to john hewitt he does several types of
backpack all at reasonable prices
they are all a much of a muchness ive got a shurflo
wouldnt buy one again pcb goes far too quickly
next ones will be single speed will put a bypass on
and my own flow controller tap
-
thats what im looking at, he has one the same as wcw and one the same as a sureflow but a hell of alot cheaper.
-
he has a single speed copy of shurflo and copy of omnipole
well thats the way i see it
if you want with multispeed controller i would personally
go for one where the controller isnt underneath the pack
like the shurflo, will have a better chance of lasting longer

Does John Hewitt have an on-line shop?

The 505 is exactly the same model number as the omnipole one about £90 cheaper and its a great bit of kit 3 speed, volt meter, low amp draw 3.1l min pump £141 delivered bargain

so avoid multi speed ones ye all say ? what you suggest?
-
anyone?
-
any suggestions then?
-
Keep it simple and use a bypass.
-
what ye mean bypass? backpacks all new to me as i have van mount but need a backpack for certain jobs
-
I use the omnipole one three speed, but as pointed out its cheaper to buy from john hewit the 505 is the same one, I leave mine on full power so a single speed is probably just as good. and if its for the odd job you will not run out of water so controlling the speed will not matter ;)
-
so what is this bypass yer atalking about? take it some sort of return to control water flow?

yes if you are into diy buy a single speed and fit a loop that goes back to the tank and with a flow control and you can regulate the flow that way, but if you are only doing the odd rear of house etc I would not bother

few jobs where van is pulled up at bus stops which will eventually see me a get a ticket. WS series seem the ones to go for. Whats the difference with the last 2 of that series? same capacity etc but one is more expensive

the last one comes with a trolley I think, I have never used them but they look ok for what you want

-
all the controls on the 505 are on the back
-
the 505 on john hewitt seems to be 3 speed. where are the single sped backpacks?
-
anyone tell me which one is the single speed?
-
Try the green backpack on eBay for £69 new.
-
they any good? you have link for the company selling them
-
for the bypass i assume just use a tap with a t piece flowing back into tank and other section to pole.
anyone have link to parts?
