Someone starting out as a canvasser / round builder on here, promising travelling anywhere in the country,
Established window cleaner i think, cant remember his name....
just a thought as someone needs one , on the other roundbuilding post.
-
was that hitman who then changed his name to something else
-
yes thats him Stu-mac
i seem to remember he was going to change the world, did he ever get going?
-
no idea mate, maybe he is too busy knocking doors ;D nah I honestly have no idea what he is doing I just remember the plans
-
he retired and sold all his gear because of a bad back paul his name was i think and sold his rounds in essex cudnt even manage 3 hours cleaning in the end not sure whether hes gna take it up prob collecting his thoughts on what hes going to do
-
So back apart.... hang on back apart ... cant he walk ?
-
i remember him as hitman then he changed his name to PR window cleaning.i think he d been window cleaning for 20 years or so.in the end he had to make the hard decision to pack it all in and sell up.
he did toy with canvassing for other windys but to me he looked too much of a thug(no offence paul!! ;) ;D ;D)to do well at it!
it makes me realise we shouldnt take our businesses or health for granted.

He was always a friendly poster and wasn't a trouble maker or story teller.Whats he doing now?
-
think he was taken off from here?
seen him on another forum selling work n kit...

Why because he's no longer a windy? there must be loads on here that don't actually clean anything let alone windows. Shame he didn't stick around. With 20 years experience he knows some useful stuff.....
-
i wont get into this too much, think alot got taken off from here for certain comments and so on...
alot of the old regulars have left or use more than one forum.
-
Ah...... I see :-X
-
I think he left because he wasn't cleaning any more. I remember him posting something along those lines anyway.
-
Hitman/PR window cleaning stopped trading & sold up because of his back problem. He did think about canvassing but didn't do it in the end.
There have been loads of "supposed" canvassers on here over the years, many seem to turn out to be crooks, dreamers or both! ;D
-
i think what happens is, they go out canvasing, think.... oh i got a few customers tonight.... hang on ... i could be a canvasser for everyone...
i tried to help him and tried to say hold your horses ... but he laughed,,
we could all do it...( well those who can build a rund for themselves)
but hey... i know what i would rather do ;)
-
paul rulton ended up going back on the doors
no thug just a big guy who done me a gud service
slipped disc probs etc but a genuine guy 8) 8) 8) 8)

not at all m8, the time off has helped my back out loads. im startin off with a new
round & this time im stayin trad, hence the new name ;)
a fresh start in a new area. im well happy ;D ;D ;D just gotta take it easy.
oh & try n not fall off the ladder AGAIN.... LOL
-
wouldnt trad be bad for you back compared to wfp?
-
not at all m8, it better 4it actually. i know it seems funny, but it works. :)
i would never of come back 2the windys if it ment being wfp.
im 2long in the tooth & hate change :-\ i love trad :)
-
fair play to ya paul.good luck with it!i also love trad but i still can trad the odd downstairs windows and above a flat roof but wfp is so much faster after the first couple of cleans! ;) ;D
16 years trad but 80% WFP now.its just easier/safer and as im finding out a lot faster than i could of ever of imagined when i changed over 11 weeks ago.
did you use a trolley and a heavy pole before paul?
im sure if you got a van mount and a carbon pole it would be easier for you even with a dodgy back.
best wishes

I'd agree with that Paul, for different reasons to yours. No more working 12 hours and every wkend for me. You can spend yer life chasing......not sure what really?
