Title: How do you send a PM?

Does anyone know if the PM system is active? I trying to send a message to martin as he is online but has no e-mail. What should I do, moderators help............. sonya

I have just looked at the top of my screen where you use to access PM's and it seems to have disappeared. Please help!!!

Must admit that i saw it was missing about 4 weeks ago.
Don't know why, as i used it quite a bit!

The PM facility was removed several months ago.

There was around a months notice given along with a full explaination, it was in a prominent position, and there were many subsequent posts about it.

Goodness knows how you all missed it. ::)

You can't have used it that much otherwise you would have become aware of its removal far earlier.

You can have your e-mail address on your profile, and this will allow communication between the parties that wish to do so.

Those that keep polluting this forum with frequently repeated questions will be pleased to learn that the 'Search' facility is still here. It's just between the 'Help' and 'Profile' icons...

Thanks musicman, I really didn't know it was removed I looked it up via the HELP button and it didn't say it had been removed. I alway use search but in this case I assumed my PM was not working so just wanted to check with someone. I don't know why I am justifing my behaviour It's just the words POLLUTING THIS FORUM is a bit harsh M.M  :o I am newly  registered in july and I have my profile complete!

I probably visit this forum about 3 - 5 times a week and never noticed anything about the PM facility being finished!!

Regretably it was removed.

It appears it was being abused.

I personaly liked it as if someone appeared to have knowledge on a subject you could PM them without boaring eveyone else.
