Title: 2 questions regarding pets
Post by: wayne zabel on August 23, 2010, 08:05:53 pm
Question one - i am cleaning a staircase that has lots of dog wee and bad odours i have told the customer i will use clensan to deodourise and sanitise the carpet,am i best spraying with clensan and leaving on for twenty minutes then extracting and then clean the carpet with a cleaning soultion, or could i clean the carpet and use clensan in the rinse tank, would this be a better option?

Question two - just had a call from a customer whos daughter has moved next door into a house that previously had cats and now is suffering from a bad chest, she wants to know would cleaning the carpet help get rid of the cat residues and create a healthier atmosphere, is there anything on the market for such purposes?

thanks Wayne.

on question 2.

does she know what exactly is irritating her chest? vacuuming and HWE will remove some of the cat residue so will help, whether it will solve the problem is not certain.

find out whats causing the problem is the first step

She is presuming that the cat residues are the problem as far as I know.

on question one I have read the data sheet and will clean the carpet and use the clensan after this. The data is a little ambigious,in that it gives info about adding to the tank and also direct spray and that is why I asked the question

I would maybe try and find out if it is the cats first otherwise you will be getting into something that might not have anything to do with the problem mate.

For the cats I would have a go with Nemesis or M-Power.
Prespray, agitate well, dwell, rinse
The lightly prespray again and leave, job done.
