Hello
I have a suite to clean in a couple of weeks that the customer says is a mix of leather and fabric.
The arms are half leather and half fabric and so are the cushions. I have seen these suites about before but have never cleaned one yet :-\
Any advice please ?
regards
Chris

Easy - clean the fabric and then the leather ;)

There are many ways to clean it; the caution is to prevent stains at the seam from either side.
Start from the fabric and leave it dry first is one good advice from davep.
Another tip is the possibility to used acidic leather cleaner on both materials using the same method.
Good if you have pictures; advice would be more specific.

You could use Nemesis or M Power on both adding a protection cream to the leather

Thanks for the replys :)
I was more concerned about getting cleaning solution onto the leather or leather cleaner onto the fabric and the possibilty of colour bleed from the leather onto the wet fabric ( they are stitched together)
Also the customer wants it scotchgarding.
Anyone cleaned this type of suite before and did you have any problems ?

Chris
ps the picture below is NOT the same suite that i have to clean, but it gives you an idea of the type.

Chris,
Questions:
1] What's the fabric material - natural or synthetic?
2] Looks like the leather finish is an opaque pigment - Do you know if it is "semi-aniline" (the leather is aniline dyed prior to micro-pigment finished)?
3] What is the level of soiling and the type - possible to show us pictures?
If you can provide me with the above answers, I will be able to recommend you a worry-free cleaning system based on the facts of cleaning science.
