Title: ionics pro 5
Post by: clarkson on August 22, 2010, 06:00:43 pm

  Hi
I  have a bit of a dilemma, i currently have a vivaro with 650 litre tank and twin poles.

this is working fine but i would like to break off and do the little small jobs on my own.

Iam looking to change my car to a navara.

my decision is should i just buy a small tank and pump etc.

The other option is to ressurect my ionics pro 5. it has leaks the di blew up pump is shot.

i dont need ro because i have a merlin and resovoir tank  can bank 3000 litres over the down time.

the issue is its a mass of hoses and filters, i wouldnt no where to start to fix it up, or i could strip it down  and just use the tank and frame.

  any suggestions please.

i did get a quote for a complete refit but when we hit 1100 quid i thought cheaper to by a tank.

  cheers

  john

Get a tank and a pump mate, and sell the system. Seems like hassle to strip it all down an di bet your get a few bob for the system.

Tank will be about £150 and a pump and few bits £100 odd.

You got hose reels and poles yeh?

hi yeh as stated iam up and running in the viv.so have everything i need. just a few odd bits and bobs i could do on my own.

if any one is interested in the pro 5 they are welcome to make an offer, but as stated it will be sold as seen and does require some overhaul.

The issues are.

pump on way out needs replacing.

no DI as had pressure break the cap.

no battery.

a few minor leaks.

its to good to scrap, if i had the time i could probably make the repairs.

cheers

 Hi
I have no idea really. iam just running through cost of sorting it

 a pump 100
 a di       100
 battey   50
 miscallaneous 50

 theres 300

iam pretty sure the ro is ok and i have a spare unused set of the other two filters.

then theres your time probably a morning maybe a day.

I think a hundred isnt  enough, i might as well strip it and use it as a delivery system.

Iam thinking perhaps 300.00 so i can buy my tank.

the other issue is delivery iam in leicester will deliver in the midlands at 300 but further afield maybe a problem.

 cheers

  john
