Went to check how full the bag was today and removed back panel and the catch at the top of the panel came to pieces or rather a small metal piece I suspect is a spring of some sort fell out. Now the catch does not stay shut at the top and having looked at the destructions and also tried to fatham out how it goes back in I am still at a loss to how it goes back together. Anyone else had this happen to them or any idea how it goes back together again? The machine is only a couple of months old.

Neil sounds like a bearing problem to me check the brush strip the lights should guide you on the correct height.

Rich as mentioned on the phone the round pins can often come out and get lost if you slide a drill bit in around 4mm i think then cut a 20mm length off the smooth chuck end of the drill bit. super glue or blue tak holds them in place.

Steve thanks for your help on the phone tonight. I finally managed to get the little strip of metel shaped like a fork back in place, fiddley little bugger! Managed to find a drill bit which fitted but do not have a vice to grip in to cut it. That being said it works perfectly now even without the pin but I'll either order a replacement or do as you say and get round to using a cut down drill bit instead. I still wouldn't have a clue where that strip of metal came from unless you had told me, thanks again for your help.
