Title: wfp top tip -hose snags
Post by: barry mallett on August 22, 2010, 04:59:27 pm
attention all wfp guys , next time your hose snags on that gate post or flower pot dont walk the 30 yards back mumbling that feckin hose does my feckin head in . simply walk back to unsnag it really calm and thinking well its only the third time its happened today and if i was on the ladders i would still be 6 houses slower today .i can afford the time to unsnag it from time to time .  ;)it works for me every time in my perfect world . in fact if it hasnt snagged for at least an hour i start to get a bit down ;D

lol -
like the flower pot - the the solar panel gardenlights - the wandering bramble that overhangs from neigbours - the brolly handle sticking our of long grass or even handle from an old pram - the corner sill of the conservatory etc etc etc
yes stay calm - as much as i watch my stepping and hose theres usually something getting snagged - and yes the odd ,under my breath, explitive comes out lol

the solar panel garden lights are a pain!ive lost count of the number ive pulled  out of the ground with the hose!

wheelie bins are usually easy to unsnag from a distance by flapping the hose but plant pots! ::) ::)ive broke quite a few the last 10 weeks.ive started to notice more junk in peoples gardens more than ever lately!!

The more i here these story's the better off i think i am sticking with my trolley. i park my trolley half way round the house im at and it very rarley snags, but i think if the hose was coming from my van it would snag in the front gate and everything after that, not to mention picking up all the hose to move next door or over the road.

I bought a 100m 6mm hose and fixed reel to make my trolly into a van mount system as well as being able to use it as a mobile trolley. ive never used the hose and reel yet. the first time i went to use is it tangle soo bad i just throew it in my van and wne tback to using trolley as a mobile unit! lol £130 wasted. oh well it might come in one day!

GB i use a trolley and have 30m of extension hose.i can clean 3 houses front and back without moving the trolley and also without running out of water!(50L TROLLEY).im getting better at "laying my hose though"!!i would hate the thought of having to keep moving the trolley every couple of windows!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
