Title: Jets/spray nozzles? Microfibre/Scrim?
Post by: Solo Cleaning on September 12, 2005, 09:32:34 pm
Hi all

This is a dangerous thing to ask but I would like everyones opinion :o

Two questions
1) which is better on a wfp jet or spray nozzles (or do they both have there uses?)
2) What is the general thoughts on using microfibre cloths as opposed to scrim.

Thanks Lee

Microfibre have their place.  Scrims have their place.  But different tools for different jobs

I have been experimentingggg.
As long as it's not in direct sunlight, I spray GG4 mix on leaded lights and wipe 'n buff with micro.  I don't have wfp so this has proved quickest methinks.

Butt....who cares!! indeeed

Can't beat scrim, I tried microfibre once and that was enough i tried the blue one.
So went back to the good ole trusty scrim.

I guess it's all down to personal preferance and think the best thing to do is try both and see which one you prefer.

Have jets but wouldn't mind trying spray
I got started on scrim which was not the best but did not know at the time, so when I got the Unger microwipe it was a dream and now never use scrim

My own jets are the fan variety as against the needle, and they are inside the brush.
With the brush that Peter Fogwill supplies, the centre rows of bristles are removed, this allows the fan jets to cover the full width of the brush, and excess spray is contained within the brush by the surounding bristles. seems to work fine!

Ian

http://www.window-tools.com/

That should be a link to Peter's Aquatec site, on there is all the stuff with regards to his WFP systems.
He's very good and very helpful. Top bloke.

There are also links to his own forum too, much like this one, but a lot of it is dedicated to WFP, and he has a very helpful FAQ's page.

Regards,

Ian
