I am at a stage where I need to put another van on the road so I can split up 2 men currently working from 1 van.
But I also want a new car for myself.
My thought is to let one of the lads use the van I currently use and get something I can use for work and personal.
Has anyone tried using an L200 for wfp? Such as this... http://www.mitsubishi-cars.co.uk/l200/
I think I could get a fairly good size tank in the back but dont need much as I dont do the amount of work I used to. I don’t need production in the back as that is done separately.

This is from this site, http://www.plasticwatertanks.co.uk/19.html they custom make them. Think a custom one would be a good idea with them to get the most of the space.
I want one myself...still dreaming.

i used to have a toyota hi lux until a french lorry driver fell asleep and run me off the road
it was the best truck ive ever had until then indestructable
the only thing was i had to remove almost everything from the back as bits kept getting nicked
just look at the security issues unless its garaged

Luther1, I know where you are coming from but I dont want something to work from 8 hours a day. I have normal vans for that.
My business is at a point now where I am more office bound as the lads are keeping on top of the work, I cant afford a new van AND a car for me so want something to combine both roles for the time being.
I will be going out canvassing new work, pricing and doing the first cleans on any new work to come on the books ready to add to the list for the lads.

i use to sell fleet cars for toyota which included the hilux great truck and many customers TOLD me that theyd either always had a hilux or they tried others and came back to it. that said there were those that prefffered the others like nissan and mitsi though in the trade the mitsi are nicknamed the new hairdresser cars they look a bit girly especially when blinged up.
one thing that sticks out tho worth buying a good 3 year old one with around 30k miles on it the savings against new are massive especially on nissan and mits coz there value plummits whereas hilux stays a little higher (but your paying #2-3k more in first place)
consider and an extra cab rather than king cab just a little more load room in back - or how about a dodge and have a football field in back

Would a 6ft pole fit in the rear of the Hilux/ L200 etc?
I have seen these type of vehicles with sliding windows between the cab and rear storage area. This would enable the pole(s) to fit in.
