Working on a job today - had the Ninja on board, not the Airflex (long story)
Pre-sprayed and Enviro'd the bedroom carpet, switched on the Ninja and the vacs made a knocking noise and a burning smell came out !
In the nearly 3 years I have owned the Ninja, I have never opened it (honest) - anyway, it is spotless inside and no sign of burning wires.
So I switched on vac 2 and there were sparks coming out of the motor !
Is it completely knackered !!
Opinions please ?
PS: I had to drive all the way home and pick up the Airflex and then go back and finish the job - 2 hours £ 110 became a 5 hour job ! Win some, lose some.

Your brushes are worn down. Might have knacked the motor now though.

That's what I thought John, although I was hoping that wouldn't be the answer.

If it was'nt running that long vac motors should be fine. It's only the carbon worn down. Brushes are easily replaced, couple of quid to buy, if you do it yourself just watch out when you remove the wire from the brush. Can easily break and then becomes a new vac motor.
How's things going anyway not spoke to you for a while?
Cheers Mark.

Stacked out at the moment, have been for the last 3 months. Fingers crossed, full steam ahead until Xmas.
How the TM ?
Done any skanky ones lately ;) Thinking a certain WC1 premises :o

Same as, had about 1 day off in about 6 weeks.
No knocked the old spearmint rhinos on the head, too much hassle.
Tm's going ok now decided to replace the engine £1700 :o. But well worth it, so much commercial work at the moment.
Mark.

Don't blame you Mark - worst job I have ever worked on.
Saw that you replaced the engine.
Trying to get more commercial myself - got January in mind, dead loss this year :-[

whats up with the Airflex Steve? ::)
Airflex is fine Jas.
I was sanding and sealing some parquet floors last week and I had a load of rubbish on the van - that coupled with me having to do 2 apartments I just put the Ninja on the van as it was easier to load and unload. A new van is a priority at the moment as loading the Airflex is a pain with the van I currently have.
