Title: Choosing website designer ?
Post by: wpclean on August 18, 2010, 09:56:02 pm
Is the best way of choosing a website designer to look at their previous sites and check how high they rank on the common search engines, or is there more to consider ?

Have a look at your competitors sites , see who they have been built by and choose someone different. If they have more than one site to look after for the same business in the same area you don't know where their loyalties lie when it comes to seo.

There are some awesome web designers around at the moment,.. but as with most things in life you get what you pay for. There is a lot of time involved in building a decent website (even if you cheat & use a template), and getting the SEO working properly, so a pro site isn't going to be cheap.

That said, whatever it costs it should pay back within the first year at the very most,.. in most cases it's within a few months.
