Post by: Clive McDonald on August 18, 2010, 08:33:27 pm
Hi, listen if i've called you a numpty lately or otherwise disrespected you i apologise for that but i need a bit of help with my bank statements.I normally print from the bank and then reconcile, but i am making a lot of mistakes.

I've just downloaded into excel- i've never done this before- now i need to know how to search this list, can anyone tell me how to do it?

I'm always praising you up Ewan, though mostly your off line so probably don't notice, if only this forum had a few more like you.

So if i'm looking for 'smith' in excel 08, what would i do?

How are things going with you ww? expanding?

I want to, i'm just worried about the vat limit, and taking more people on and having no work (as in last january when i didn't work for a month).I'm also worried about the number of vans outside my house/ don't want the expense of a base.

If you have any solutions let me know.

Clive

There are loads of solutions, time to be more positive and stop focusing on the negatives.

Remember to forget the trivial and concentrate on the bigger picture.

As for the parking, forget the neighbours, business is business

I've been working on my weak points. The thing i'm worst at is debts and reconciliation, but i'm getting better.I have noticed that ww has always been good at this, and you are probably no slouch.

Like most people i'm scared of confrontations and very hesitant before i ring someone up.The funny thing is that when i do there is very often an explanation of why i can't find five payments and i'm very glad that i did.

Because i'm always stuck for time my systems have had to become more robust and  would probably scale up well.

I've been reading that book by napolean hill, and the idea of having a proper go is very tempting.
