Title: Microsplitters/detergents
Post by: wayne zabel on August 18, 2010, 08:28:12 pm
Can someone please explain in laymans terms how these 2 differ in breaking up the soils when applied to the carpet?
I was asked by a customer to explain the difference and struggled to answer

So called Microsplitters are intended to shatter the bond that attaches soil to fibres whereas detergents hold the soil in suspension ready for extraction.

It still mystifies me when I spray down Pureclean and 90% of the stains seem to vanish to nothing.
How is this so if all the chem is doing is breaking down the bond :-\

If you let it dry again without extracting the stain would still be there.
