ordered friday and arrived this afternoon.ive got to admit this pole is so much lighter than my 25ft alloy hydra!! :D :D
its a 22ft and the closed length is over a foot shorter than the hydra.diameter is narrower and feels all together a more user friendly pole.im sure this pole will speed me up and less strain on the arms and shoulders when im reaching over conservatories etc.
no more swapping poles for downstairs now!
im well happy with it and its the same weight as the 25ft slx.fairly rigid and looking forward to using it all day tommorrow!!
i think ill go and see my dear old mother and give her windows a clean with it after my tea!! ;) ;D ;D ;D
any of you guys speeded up/easier on the shoulders with gardiners poles??

Daz do you have an SLX?
Just wondered how the CLX holds up against the SLX for rigidity.

how much did it cost you mate?
on the site you can only order smaller sizes but it does say ring up for larger sizes ...
-
gotta get an aqua dapter for it?!
-
it cost me £126 including vat and delivery.they are in stock martin!i bought it online!!
matt ive only been wfp just over 2 months and bought a glass fibre which is heavy and bendy!i only used it for two weeks its just a spare pole in my storage space now!!then i got the hydra 25ft which is a good pole but a bit heavy and bulky for using all day top and bottoms.
its as rigid as the hydra but so much lighter!!this will become my main day to day pole as i can use it for tops and bottoms with ease.the closed length is the same as the 22ft slx.
i bet there is not much difference between the clx and the slx at 22ft.same clamps/same weight as the 25ft slx/same closed length.the slx will be a tad more rigid probably!ive not got an slx to compare it with!!

enjoy pal,i do mine,great poles.
i have a trigger on mine saves me so much water compared to the tap.
i find mine very rigid and with the sill brush it glides across the glass so easy and cleans the glass so much better.

Are there any known issues with the CLX? Like clamps breaking or early wear on the sections?
-

im going to ordered the clx 18 now as i have just seen it is only £99 including vat, that is a bargain.

How long have you had the CLX?

Daz
It's really important that you keep your pole hose clean and off the floor, loop it and put it over something- a hook on your belts good.
While they are clean poles are great, when they are dirty they wear fast and don't work properly.

hi ya mate,
just gonna bare pole then? stick a sills brush on it?...
i was gonna get a smaller pole but always worried it wont reach on some jobs when going over cons ...
-
slumpy my pole hose will always get dirty from time to time esp working in the wet weather.i think if i flush the pole out once a week and clean the pole hose it should make it last a bit longer.also is there some spray that you can get to keep the sections running smoothly?
at the price of these poles id buy one every year if its used day in/day out on regular work! ;) ;D
