Title: business cards.
Post by: laddermonkee on August 17, 2010, 02:10:43 pm
I thinking of getting cards printed advertising my window cleaning service, on the cards i am going to have printed useful telephone numbers like local taxi and hospitals ect. or maybe a small calender on the back, do you think this may encourage potential customers to hold on to the card rather than through it in the bin?

Bright red with a white circle in the middle and an eyecatching symbol in black in the middle should do the trick ladders - then on the back write your credentials in gothic script.

Only if they see the back, before bining it. ;D
Personally I would keep it just to your services, why give anyone else free advertising? If they want a window cleaning service they will 9 times out of 10 call you within a couple of days.

this sort of thing is always talked about - nothing wrong with that of course.

cards get binned, flyers end up in the back of a draw, pens work but then when the ink runs out thats binned to.

maybe give one of these a go:

vistaprint - business card fridge magnets.

or

loopfobs.com

loopgobs works well for me!! of course i dont expect customers to throw my keyring on the house or car keys but i always say to the customer throw it on the shed key or spare house keys ...

works really well for.

What about one that looks like a twenty pound note on one side and your details on the other side. thats bound to attract attention.

Thats what i was thinking, although they may not want a cleaner at this time they may hold onto the calender part so if they or their friends see it later they may just give you a call.
