Sounds rough mate  :(

80odd year old custy of mine telling me he went to the docs and had a little moan about his health (to be honest he does suffer) and the doc said " be grateful, most folks don't reach your age" :o

I have had all the back problems, had scans, X rays, physio, you name it I have had it. Part of the reason I went BACK to window cleaning is because its better than sitting driving all day long.

I have a very good osteopath, he is a miracle worker, I see him about once a Year on average when something goes big time. Other than that its regular exercises and keeping mobile. This job does me more good than harm but you have to look after yourself.

My experience with doctors is that they tell you exactly what your one told you and then write you off.

Sorry to hear about that darren, I had facet joint and disc problems after a car accident. The physio told me they are told to tell people to keep moving and work if they can without making the problem worse.
Obviously no heavy lifting, and she taught me exercises which relieve it on the odd occassion it does still give me aggro.
She told me they try to give self employed people priority for treatment if it is stopping them from working (they had a 6 month waiting list for lesser cases). I would go to GP and tell them you want physio sessions because you need to work. The physio also showed me techniques to use to prevent further injury or pain when you are working and even ways to sit to relieve the pain.
Lounging around the house all day is the worse thing you can do because a lack of movement just makes your back tighten up.

been to see my doc and got to wait for letter to be sent with results before they will do any thing, some am taking the rest of week off and taking dogs for walk  try and keep moving hopefully a week of rest might do me some good,

might see if my mate wants a few days work and go out knocking, might as well put the time to good use

I overruled a doctor once because I had done loads of research on the illness I had.  Just as well really because if I had gone along with him, it would have caused me extra pain and suffering.  Ultimately it's unlikely it would have made a difference to the eventual, succesful outcome, but it did help me get there with less discomfort.

I've got a mega bad back today. Could hardly walk at times. Work's been a nightmare.

I'm really hoping I just slept funny or something. :(

So you don't lift a hose reel out? You simply walk away from the van with the hose attached to you by a harness?

When you come to wind it back in what height in relation to your body is the reel?
