To those who use gutter vacs how to you cope with down pipes that are totally blocked can it be done from the ground with the vac or do you have to get the ladders out or do you need a pressure washer and telescopic lance to help. Also how do you cope with gutters with small trees and grass growing in them. I am interested in buying a gutter vac but im not sure how effective and effiecient it would be compared to ladders.

It won't cope with trees or blockages past the first 's' bend.
-
I use this.
-
how do u find the lance matt,
-
IM SURE IM GONNA HAVE SAME QUESTION WHEN I START THE GUTTER CLEARING - JUST CLEANED FACIAS SOFFITTS AND THE GUTTER FACIAS TODAY AND THERE WERE TREES AND SHRUBS ENTWINDED ROUND THE GUTTER - THIS WAS WHILST INA NARROW ALLEYEWAY AND THE BACK OF MY NECK BEING STUNG BY SOME SUPER PRICKLY THING.

Fully extended it can be a nightmare to control, but on the whole its very good. It cuts the time spent on cleaning the outside of the gutters and fascia boards no end. Plus I find it cleans the brackets better than WFP and rag up a ladder.

To remove the small shrubs that are growing within the gutters I use an agitating tool, I free it first then get the vac on it.

Not now I have the vac, I did notice it created too much mess for residential customers.

Is that a Gutter Vac in the picture? The tubes look a bit think/narrow to suck much? Don't they block up?
