Actually you are right it is a cream, like in Citrus Gel. I use it all the time it is brilliant   and I wouldn't do without it. Those true gels, I just can't get on with. I had two call backs in a week when I purchased some to try, after it left white residue even after many wand passes. They were the only call backs on carpets that I have had in at least the last last 15 years.
Dave.

Jason,

It's probably the wrong time of year now but mine went from gel to liquid overnight, when I left in the vehicle during a heavy frost.

Mine did that as well Gary.  Fortunately there was very little left in the container.

Yes Chemspec Liquagel is my normal , preferred option , the Prochem distributor is half a mile from me , the Chemspec one is 10 miles away , that will teach me to cut corners.
