Title: Rented houses.
Post by: Klean07 on August 12, 2010, 08:25:08 am
I did a canvas this week on what I thought were all private houses. But it turned out that 20% were privatly rented. I had about 10 of those that were rented say to me that because it was rented they didn't want to bother having their windows cleaned. I clean lots of other rented properties and have never heard this before. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

If it's not written in their contract that windows and gutters should be maintained, then usually they don't bother doing them.

Only time we've had people in rented houses have windows cleaned is if the landlord gets them done and reclaims the money. Same with the gardens - they just don't care!

Im always careful with rented now.

Ive just binned 5 on an estate, getting fed up with knocking and finding new tennent answering the door!!

Always price in for losing the last clean, cos they will never tell you theyre moving!!!
