Hi all i did my original site recently ready for when i am set up which will hopefully not be long but now looking at it i think it looks a bit tacky and not so professional.
So for most of today i have been creating a new version of my site please tell me what you think and which you prefer.
I still need to do some bits to the new one but hope it is an improvement?

i would also add a landline no as a lot of the cornish hate phoning mobiles

I voted for the old one as well. just one thing as well as the landline but on the second site it mentions not being available on certain days because of work. I would get rid of that statement

ye i thought that but then when i get people trying to get in contact on days i am at work my phone will be off and thought it would not look good.

just get them to leave a msg or just let it ring and phone them in your break, if they get a answer machine just tell them you are out in the country and get a bad signal in places

yes thats true, i can't use my phone at work at all so it would have to be answer phone so you really don't like the new one? i thought it looked much more professional

the green annoys me and didnt want to look at the rest, try it with a blue like off the other one, sounds stupid but its a honest answer

Def need a land line and i rarely answer my moby when im working as my hands are full or im up a ladder, just ring them back when you can, no need to say which days you work just say monday to saturday 9 til 5 how will a custy know any different?
im thinking of doing a web site as well how much is yours costing you?

I thought about adding land line but thought it would not be so professional being my house phone.
My site is free for me just my time as i did it and have a server to host it on. ;)

I use my house phone and admittedly the kids need trained in not answering it but my wife makes a good secretary/saleswoman at times and at other times she's a pain saying I can do things I can not/ wont. but most are not bothered about that and like the family approach to business

most wc are sole traders and people aint bothered about phoning a house, get a new landline and divert to your mobile

I created them from free templates and edited them to my needs.

or get a 0800 number and have that diverted to your mobile not sure what it costs but it must be cheaper than have a second line put in your house plus the monthly line rental

I like the top half of old one. If you redesign the bottom half the site would be perfect.

I prefer the new one, just change the colours IMO

So is it the green bar across the top that is bothering people?

seems like change it to blue, see what happens, sounds stupid but a lot of people are put off by colours and certain colours produce rage, hate, etc companys spend a lot of money getting the right shade for there products

lose the different color behind what we do, as it make sme think my computer is broken, go for a sky blue

New one purely on how fast it loads .... not read content.

Ye it does load a bit better, fixed the colour and black background around rotating images now so hopefully looks a bit better looking at the poll though everyone still likes the older one.

i like both, maybe try taking the baest bits from both.
think no matter how many times you re do it you will always find something wrong ....
