Title: leak from wand jet
Post by: dusthers on August 10, 2010, 04:56:11 pm
Hi, I have noticed over the past couple of weeks that the wand jet has a "dribble"  which is getting worse. When pump is on the dribble is slightly worse. Is this normal? Or is it a problem with the valve not shutting off properly on the wand when released.
Cheers Bob

Sounds like you need a new K valve on the wand.

or you could get some 'stubbies' for your jets

might only need a new male or female connector on the wand. (which ever your soloution line hooks in to)

It'll be faulty, worn or taken a knock.

Speak to John at Restomate, ask for a wand repair kit. Cheap and easy!

There may be 2 filters behind the jets. These are actually valves which have a spring and ball bearing. The valve opens when you squeeze the trigger and close once you release it. This prevents the solution in the hose between the jet and the valve dripping out. These filters have a hard life and often clog up with limescale and chemical residue. Have a look and take them out and give them a good clean. Preferably leave them in some acididc rinse or vinegar overnight.
