Just had a call fro Nick at Solutions who was really helpful and nice in clearing up a misunderstanding. I have had some bad customer service experiences with some companies (and no, i will not name and shame!) so it's refreshing to get such a positive call. Thanks Nick, and i will be in contact soon

Isnt that amazing Justin !!!
you have had a phone call from Nick ::) ::)
I wonder why, or am i been to synical?
geoff

I agree with you Geoff - Your being synical.
Its obvious there are lots on CIU who get good service from Solutions and enjoy the results of their products, and I reckon "we" are just a small part of Solutions satisfied customers cause most wont be on any forum.
Glad you sorted Justin.

Synical.....? You....? No way! As one of the most negative posters this side of Nagasaki Swing Bridge, only you had to be negative, there is no other way.... ::)

Yeah, told you so Justin. I never doubted Nick or Solutions for one moment.
All's well that ends well.
-
just out of interest.... why did he call you?
I'm not being 'cynical' I actually believe the only time you find out how great a company are is when they do something wrong and then see how they put the problem right.
all companies will at some time cock up , nobody is perfect. but its how quickly they act to put the matter right that makes them a company worth doing business with

What none of us know is what the conversation was that Justin and Nick had - and I dont suppose its any of our business.
What I have learned about this forum over the last 3 years is how "we" , its community,
1) make judgements without hearing both sides of a story. Sometimes we never get to hear the other side of the story, so that makes it really bad when judgements are made.
2) seem to demand to know everything thats going on. Are we entitled to that?

once it posted on a public forum then yes we are entitled to know everything thats going on, if you don't want the curcumstances to be public then don't post it.
if things are 'none of our business' why post it here for us all to read about?

hi mike, it was a courtesy call from nick to see if i had recieved samples ok. when i mentioned about the invoice he said that was a mistake. he then went on to talk to me for 20 odd minutes and gave me some great advice about a forthcoming job, without once trying to sell me anything. Thought his customer service was brilliant. and sorry if i upset anyone in previous thread (it wasnt my intention) although i can see now how others might have percieved it!!
-
Mike, but there lies the problem. We never get to know everything thats going on because a lot of the time we only get to know one side of the story and judgements are made only on partial knowledge. So my point 1) and point 2) are inter related.

Make your mind up Joe. You can't moan at folks for making judgements on only half the story and also moan when they want to hear the other half.

but are we entitled to know everything thats going on? Mikes opinion is that we are, mine is that we are not.
Because many times we dont get to know "the other side of the story", for whatever reason, makes it wrong , IMO, to make judgements.
How would you like someone to make a derogatroy remark about you based on only half the facts when you cannot answer?

If I didn't give all the facts I would expect them to draw their conclusions from the facts I did give. Wouldn't you?
Anything else is always going to lead to misunderstandings.

I have highlighted important words Nevil.

Fair one Joe.
You feel different to me on this issue. Not worth dragging it out any more than it has been already. For what it's worth I have only got positive things to say about Nick and Solutions.
This is based on the good service I have received and the fact he is a top bloke who always makes time for a chat and is always looking to be helpful.

i have some samplen the ways i bought from nick to try. heard good things about m power and fusion 8 so will give them a try
-
hi all,
Just thought i would add my bit!
I've found Nick and solutions to be one of the best companies i've dealt with! My family have been in business for many years Mainly contract cleaning and janitorial supplies! When i purchased my scorpion, yes i had a couple of teething problems! With out hesitation Nick offered to come to my unit to sort it straight away! I'm sure theres others that do this all the time but not when there based 4hrs away! Nick explained what the proplem was and talked me through it over the phone and i dealt with it in mins!
Nick is a really good guy and genuine!
Rant Over ;D
Took your advice Mr Hatton ;)
All the best
Billy

You're on a losing path Joe ....... You're just too intelligent, balanced and respectful to win the argument with (some of) the aggresive, ego-maniacs here. When I read some of Mike's posts I see that it comes from the 'top'. Can you really not appreciate Joe's sentiment here Mike? Is it any of your business what the phone call was about? Short answer is no. Unless you're too arrogant to hold any sensitivity to people's boundaries. I'll probably get bashed for using the word 'sensitivity' on this forum. Ho ho ho ...... what a soft lad.
Nick's service is universally excellent. Don't allude otherwise just because he runs a competing forum (which is exactly how is comes across when you make these types of posts).
