ive lost one out of 340 custies and i dropped one cos he was a pain in the bum!im 7 weeks WFP.I hate losing custies even if if i wont lose out due to new work!ill probably lose one or two over the next few months as they dont like the windows being left wet! ::)
so ive lost £350 a year at least from these 2 customers cleaning them 10 times a year(allowing for holidays/bad weather)but added £400 a year due to new work the last few weeks(4 jobs).
swings and roundabouts i suppose!

i have lost 1 job of which i can directly put down to wfp, she was a pain anyway
-
hard to say because i took on more work when i changed to wfp, but i can confirm at least one left because she wasn't happy with wet windows, she said "the windows may be clean but because there wet they don,t look clean" at the time it was heaving it down with rain

I have lost a few over the last 12 months mainly the more elderly customers who struggle with the whole wfp idea
Was worried at the time but I have picked up more custies who have no problem wot so ever so not a problem in the long run
I am just trying to build up my customer base with wfp friendly people makes life a bit easier I suppose

i lost a few then got them back when they saw how good their neighbours windows looked . i didn`t loose any in the posh areas but seemed to have a few problems with custys and wfp on the ruff estates.. but found that im picking up more than i loose.

Why! if they were a problem then why did you not dump them when you were trad! if you were trad?
Would they not accept wfp if so then why blame the customer!
What you have to remember is you are selling a service using wfp if the customer dont like it then they wont have it,
Would you buy something you did not like!

when i started wfp custies didnt take to it much lost 4 only. 2 were moving anyway 1 was a cow and the other carked it probably stressed him out with the way i was throwing me pole about you know what i mean

Yeah, but still using backpacks and 25 ltr containers, which is driving me mad. In a couple of months i should have my van and tank and life will be easier.

I lost a few long standing elderly customers, a lot of this is my own fault in getting WFP lazy and doing everything with the brush.
It's worth taking the time to do front doors trad, some people hate having a wet front door step, and drips in the house when they open the door to pay.
-
It was a while back but I think I probably lost about 5 and dumped about 10 initially. I did have a higher than usual level of mystery cancellations in the first year of WFP too - some of which may have been due to them disliking WFP.

1 - leaky georgian frames and I refused to use a ladder for them.
2 - good riddance - anti-wfp luddites
But I've gained loads more.
-
I lost one and I offered to trad her if it was a problem. She was a very neurotic custy anyway so she said she found some one cheaper.I was happy as she would cancel on the doorstep and I did not like that at all.But since I have changed I have had plenty growth.
-
I lost a few when I first started wfp 3 years ago. This was because then I was using di only and not changing resin when I should av done. Those were my learning days. Though with this job you learn something new every day.
-
I LOST FEW,BUT WHO CARES, IM NOT GOING TO LADDER ANYMORE, IS NOT WORTH THE MONEY,,,,,,,,IF THEY LIKE FINE,IF THEY DONT LIKE FINE AS WELL
THERE ARE PLENTY HOUSES AND PEOPLE......
-
none
Liar :P
Unless your a new breed and didnt do trad first..
-
Never lost any!
Any customer that did not like WFP was marched out and shot and the better priced jobs were returned to traditional window cleaning.
At the end of the day the customer is king/queen and it is up to you how much you want to keep the work or lose it.
I have personally never come across a domestic customer who have said they prefer WFP over the way i have cleaned their windows over the previous years, maybe i am doing something wrong but i have had a WFP for seven years now and i would like to think i got the hang of it.
The thought going round my head as i drive away from a domestic WFP job is i hope the upstair windows dry up nice where before i knew they were clean.
