So far Ive only targeted the "posh" Redrow type of estates ... whats your % split for posh V council as I have realised Im missing out on a lot of potential customers.
I rekon the council estates will be better payers too :)
btw Im not a snob or owt I was brought up on a rough / tough estate in Liverpool ... anyone heard of Norris Green ?

a lot of people who live in council houses have money, i prefer to know these as get a better hit ratio, a lot of private houses whing about the price as they have to fill the BMW

yeh they look good, smell good but they're all skint and mostly up emselves as well.

There's good and bad customers to be had in both. From a simple business point of view, the more up market the properties on your round, the more it's worth.

I used to do a few houses/flats on our local council estate. The old biddies were OK but I found the younger families were effing scum. I soon got fed-up with the smell of pi$$ and nappies, weapon dogs and hoodies.
The final straw was when some old scrubber who owed me £5 opened the door, can of Tennents Super in hand, bennie hanging out of her gob and says: "Sorry mate ain't got no money can yer come back next week sometime?"
I didn't, and jacked that part of my round in there and then.

i do some housing association granny flats all great payers but i got rid of any council estate work years ago.i prefer the leafy suburbs and more upmarket properties!most of my work is in a affluent area and its a great area to work in.i have a lot of very compact 3 bedders on 2 estates as well as the country houses and bigger properties and a few commercial.
i have a few late payers here and there but if their persistent offenders i get rid!
work is work though and unless you have more work than you can handle then you cant pick and choose!

i work on council estates and its often interesting hearing the screams or the flaming rows . i got ripped off a few times by middle aged wasters but as long as the customer is an oldie theres no problem in any way .

the old biddys are as good as gold but the younger familys are very un-reliable i always look at the state of the gardens if there poop tips skip them but if there well looked after give them a go
-
I'm getting poor results from "new" private estates. Lots of young families that don't seem to care if they have dirty windows.
-
no scummy council estates, leave that to the cowboys to fight over.
stick with the stuck up posh houses and private ... less dog poo aswell
-
dont paint them all with the same brush, they may not have a new car or much money but pride you cant buy!! we are talking about w/c ???glass is glass and money is money ;D the posh 1s have been hit by the crunch, the hard working men like us still do the dirty jobs the posh 1s DONT ;)

There's very few "working" class people on the estates anymore. They are literally dying out as the old tenents pass away. What has replaced them is the "never done a days work in their lives" class. I truely hope Cameron keeps his promises and stops their benefits.
