Post by: tony talbot on August 04, 2010, 09:57:08 pm
has anyone who uses one of those green plastic hose reels had a problem with the screw attatchment in the middle, where the hose connects, comming off. is there a way of fixing it in place?

is it a cheap reel? I have just found that you need to buy a better quality one if it is being used all the time

The second one seems like it will last a lot longer than the first. I bought mine (the second link)for £42 delivered from ebay, but I had a bit of a bargain.

Go for the heavy duty metal reel, these take a lot of punishment so a cheapo thing will just
be aggro and need replacing sooner.

if it is like new after 18 months your obviously being careful with it.
I tend to throw mine around a bit, thats why I have gone over to metal reels

see what you mean.... mines bolted to the floor at the back doors, never moves.
got to be careful when reeling in, that you dont give it to much 'torque'.
