if its a first clean and the custy is paying they are taken off.

if existing custy dcides to paint the glass between cleans then it stays on.

i never touch paint spots you scratch the glass you could end up paying for a new window. its the job of the decorator to remove them why should you take the risk?

just take them off - if its so bad it may take a fair bit of time then just be honest to the customers and charge another £5 or something.

or if u think the customer wouldt pay it then maybe out of courtesy just do a window or two per clean - no time wasted then and after a few cleans its sorted.

guess just depends how bad it is

This is what I tend to do.  I whack a quid on for the orginal quote, then each time I clean I get the paint off one pane.  Make out you are doing the customer a favour.

I agree, its the little things like that that make you stand out from the crowd and earn you a great reputation.

Paintspots, water marks from hoses stay where they are...I do not touch them at all....

For our business that is part of the t&c's.

likes been said if its really bad paint spots on most of the windows i would charge extra just like i would if a custy has an extension/new roof  and windows are really dirty.

if its the odd spot here and there on downstairs windows i would scrape them off no problem at no extra charge.
