When it comes to upholstery don't sell yourself cheap said my learned friends.
Don't forget it's a horrid job that's time consuming said my learned friends.
Try and get an idea of what sort of people they are said my learned friends.
So I followed the advice and set my price at £26.37 per bum seat which many of my learned friends will tell me is still too cheap.
This based on:
2 x 3 seater
2 x 2 seater
1 x armchair
So I'm guessing this is no small property holding this much furniture in the living room :o
I think the silence might as well have said "I'm calling the Police I suspect there's a crime being made." >:(

Hi Neil,
Did you quote on site or over the phone?
-
It was over the phone as job is about 80 miles away.
-
surely if its 80 miles away then the price is right and any less would be a waste of a day.
-
I would agree that you are not about to travel that distance to quote for a suite clean however never be suprised that you dont get the job if you dont visit.

I will accept that she didn't know we are 80 miles away as I'm advertising (websites) in an area that we intend to move to, and I would tie it in with other work in the area. But all the same this should still be 5 hours work.

£250-£270 I would have quoted.... 80 miles is a long way though.....
-
we've been having similar debate over pricing of upholstery.... marc does the pricing , i, trena think he sells himself too cheap for the amount time and effort involved.

£35 per bum and I never go below that

Hmmm I bet you dont get £35 a bum from the internet...
Your site is dead

I would have told the customer that the price is between £30 - £35 per seating area depending on cusion and frame size.
