Hi Lads,
I have been looking at a few rotary's for bonneting due wining a couple of large contracts and need a few more machines.
I have had a look at a couple of used machines... but not too impressed!! mainly on the condition.
Other than that the people who have had used machines have been too far away for me.
Just wondered what you experts think I should go for.
Things to consider I would like a standard speed of 150 - 175 rpm. Be able to shampooing by adding carpet brush to the kit.
Oh and I want a solution tank as well.
So ideas appreciated just incase I have missed anything.
Thanks Dave

Take a look at the one restormate are doing
-
Yes I have had a look at that. Thanks
I may end up buying that if thats the best deal I can find.
Everyone almost wants to sell so I am printing off deals and what I will do is show other suppliers to see if they can beat the competitors price.

We've used A3Machines a few times and so far I can't fault their service or quality.
Best to call them and have a chat with Charles.
Google them

Yes I did see the ad. And I looked at the pictures etc on your site. I was a little tempted but you are some distance from me. I am in Maidstone in Kent.
As for A3 machines yes I use them all the time, cant fault them either but not got what I am looking for at the moment. I did talk to them.

Hi Dave, United Pallets can deliver. Will check costs, used to be about 50 quid.
-
Found a good deal for a refurbished Victor standard speed, with solution tank(New), shampoo brush(Does not look used), drive board, gaurantee 12 month, looks New.
£315 +VAT inc delivery. So easy enough spare cash to buy some top quality bonnets and chems. It pays to search.
Thanks for all the emails and trying to help.

good effort on the sales push tho

Yes he has tried.
I am not sure why it has not been snapped up.
I am guessing they are over rated. Possibly

They're not over-rated at all.......... I used one on a domestic cut pile today (higher than I normally would with any rotary system but i'd heard they still perform well on longer pile). The machine was a little 'heavier' but still manouvrable and I got an amazing result. Custy was absolutely delighted.
In fact I've never had a bad result with the Dry Fusion.
I got a super bargain; A perfectly working Dry Fusion machine for £280. I bought it from Aiden Spender, some of you in the N.E. may know him, he used to work with 'Deep Clean' but is not working now due to illness. (He knows you Steve Gunn!).
I did need to remove the red cap and respray it but aside that it function like a new machine.
No offence to the seller here, but you can certainly get one in similar condition to that shown, for less than £650.
...... and they are really good.
-
Must admit they are a handy tool to have the dry fusion( fire engine ;D) at the price you paid for it david..
I always look for the df logo on the top to see if its in good condition..
-
David. With a restoration brush which are £275 new?
Which saves you having to lug around an Envirodri.
Rab

I don't think the restoration brush on the DF performs the same as a counter-rotating brush machine for agitation Rab. That's just my view.
I love DF and have also done great jobs with a standard rotary (no heat) but I always agitate with a counter-rotater first to get the best job. It's a very different process to the restoration brush on your DF.
Certainly not knocking your gear. But it's a tough (buyers) market at the mo, and as I have said, I bought a DF two weeks ago for £280. Not as clean as yours but I wouldn't pay a £400 premium for yours. Sorry, just being honest.
-
Different action with the Envirodry (and similar) and I would think a better actio - lifting up rather then swirling round. Only my opinion.
-
No need to be sorry David. Let me get this right, You bought an older machine without the brush for less money?
-
Thats a good price you bought the machine david :)

How old is your machine? Rab just out of curiosity.
The reason I did not go for a DF was that I have read a few posts on here saying that its alot of money for a bit of heat when you can get the same result from a standard machine.
ill add here if I could have found a DF for £300 - 400 I would have jumped at it. I seen a starter package new for about £1800 on the net somewhere.
I nearly ended up paying £650 + vat for a standard machine which for what they are like all tools of the trade i beleive are over priced.

It`s a marketing thing Dave.
Not sure of age, but can tell its not had much use, unlike some I`v seen.
Don`t want to discuses it on here no more.
I`ts getting fired up on Fleabay

Dave
New contract and not priced in that you need more!!!!! What the Dickens are you playing at? ;D
I’ve got an old yellow numatic cost me £20quid last year bit of Hammerite £10 looks like new, new solution tank cost me about a ton :-[ have earned a quite a few k with this kit. Do like the look of DF and it balance however you can’t brand it as such so at the end of the day it’s a machine for a job ;)
Hope the duo is still working ;D

Hi Len,
Yes the sebo is still going strong. So are the air movers.
Moved on to the Air flex Turbo with a heater So going well so far.
Yes I did price in the cost of a machine but why spend when you can save and like you earn more.

Pristine,
Give Chris Brooks a ring, he has 2 ServiceMASTER rotary machines which he is looking to sell.
These have the feeder tanks on and they are virtually bullet proof.
I've used mine for over 30 years without any trouble at all.
Chris's number is 01902 493 675. (he's based in Bilston, West Mids).

You can get narky if you want Rab. :'( The point is the machine cost around 1/3 what you're asking and looks comparble and performs perfectly ......... 'restoration brush' or not (the point was that your restoration brush isn't going to be worth £400 quid extra is it ? er.... no. As you pointed out they are £275 new!
I seem to remember you paid quite a lot less than what you're asking for your DF now, so that may well be what has put people off.
